About Becky Druhan
Becky Druhan is a dedicated public servant, experienced lawyer, and community advocate who has served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lunenburg West since 2021. Grounded in a commitment to integrity, accountability, and practical leadership, Becky brings nearly three decades of legal and public service experience to her campaign for the leadership of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party.
Before her election to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, Becky spent 20 years practising law, helping individuals, small businesses, and organizations navigate complex legal challenges, labour relations, and dispute resolution. Her dedication to community care led her to work with the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), where she spearheaded innovative programs that expanded access to home healthcare and improved workplace safety for frontline workers.
In provincial office, Becky has held key cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development as well as Minister of Justice and Attorney General. Throughout her time in government and in the Legislature, she has focused on delivering real results for local communities: championing expansions in public housing, new long-term care beds, infrastructure upgrades, transit investments, and environmental protection.
Driven by the belief that true leadership means listening, building trust, and standing up for principles even when it’s difficult, Becky is running to unite the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and to build an open, compassionate, and hopeful movement ready to serve all Nova Scotians.
Becky lives in Italy Cross, just outside Bridgewater, with her family.
